I remember that this function (canon_date()) was introduced for Y2K
to fix malformed date (year) string.  It is not indispensable but is
platform dependent, thus just disabling it is appropriate solution
in the context of MimeKit as a discrete part from DeleGate.
The enclosed patch will do it.
