[DeleGate-En] Problems resolving host names using http-sp
24 May 2012 12:37:35 GMT "Busch, Jannis" <>

Hi Yutaka,

First of all I would like to thank you fort he great job you are doing with delegate. I am using delegate since 2007 (the http proxy server) and last week I tried to change from the http proxy to the http-sp proxy (delegate 9.9.7 under Windows Server 2003 R2). The performance gain really impressed me but I am experiencing problems resolving names. I have never seen the problems with the http proxy version, which confuses me. When I start the http-sp proxy service everything works fine for a few hours but suddenly (browsing the internet) I get an error like this displayed in the browser:

Unknown Host

(0.03 0.03 0.03)

The only solution to get delegate back to work is to restart the service. The settings of the service are as follows:

I tried fixing the problem by changing the RESOLV configuration but I had no luck and the error remains. Do you have any idea what could cause my problem? I would love to keep the http-sp proxy because it is that fast. The proxy log is attached to this mail. Hopefully it helps you.

Thanks in advance & kind regards
