[DeleGate-En] How to skip down NNTP server
09 Apr 2002 04:05:48 GMT Chris Lee <paecqbdyi-qjyh54lyivxr.ml@ml.delegate.org>

Hi,

I am using Forte Agent as news reader, when I try to get newsfeed from
delegate 7.9.2, I got following error:

Error: Connection closed unexpectedly by server.

I checked the error log:
04/09 11:55:01 [11434]-P119 E-C: Can't connect: 10.1.10.106:3884 =>
nntp://news.3home.net (timeout)

Here is my config file:

#### DELEGATE CONFIGURATION FOR MAKE ####
#### ADMIN value got interactively ####
ADMIN=root@example..
NNTPCONF=xover:5000
CACHE=no
SERVER=nntp
MOUNT="= nntp://wonderspace.net/wonder."
MOUNT="= nntp://news.3home.net/3"
MOUNT="= nntp://news.hkpcug.org"
MOUNT="= nntp://news.siukeung.com/siukeung."
MOUNT="= nntp://www.delegate.org/mail-lists.delegate-en"
MOUNT="= nntp://news.netgod.org.hk/netgod."
MOUNT="= nntp://newsgroup.com.hk/newsgroup."
MOUNT="= nntp://news.popart.com.hk/photo."
MOUNT="= nntp://news.netbeans.org/netbeans."

I Know news.3home.net was down, but is it possible for Delegate to skip the
problem MOUNT NNTP server(s) and continue working for the rest?

Beside, can I set the timeout limit for NNTP server?

---
Regards,
Chris Lee
