Perhaps you can represent a literal "%" character by "%%" in your
command interpreter.

Otherwise you can write your parameters into a file, one parameter
in each line, and specify "+=parameters" to include the file as a
list of parameters.  Note that backslash character "\" must be
represented as "\\" because it is interpreted as a reserved character
in a parameters file.
